We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist in our Merriam, KS office The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for being a key team player within Seaboard Foods and Daily’s Premium Meats sales team providing superior service to our customers.
The role is responsible for support on sales administrative functions along with customer complaints, OS&D issues, customer EDI, order entry, sample fulfillment tasks, and other daily customer service tasks to insure a smooth operation.
There will be a major focus on training and developing individuals in this role into future sales representatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service Provides a quality service to customers by processing complaints, dealing with complex queries and / or investigating and resolving customer problems with FSQA and Plant Ops.
- Administrative functions such as order and sample order entry, distribution of reports, invoice auditing, and other duties as assigned.
- Place weekly intercompany orders.
- Coordinate all OS&D and returned loads to the plants as they arrive.
- Communicate with track and trace team and distribute status reports to customers and internal sales teams on late trucks.
- Schedule and route trucks
- Work closely with shipping departments to manage shortages, overages, add-ons, and substitutions.
- Provide status updates to customers and sales.
- Data Collection Uses a variety of computer applications such as Microsoft office. Responsible for gathering and summarizing data reports.
- Operational Compliance Develop working knowledge of the organizations FSQA policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required :
- Bilingual in English / Spanish in both speaking and writing is required
- 3+ years’ experience in customer service, sales, claims, or finance / accounting required.
- Proficient with Microsoft office Excel and PowerPoint required.
Preferred :
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance preferred.
- Food manufacturing industry experience preferred.
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday 8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM (hours can change based off business needs)

- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
