The Aircraft Avionics Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft systems.
This position is responsible for performing comprehensive inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, removal, and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems.
The technician operates with a commitment to meeting manufacturer's specifications, regulatory requirements (FAR's), industry standards, and Repair Station General Operating Manual (RSGOM) guidelines within a meticulously organized and secure work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Accurate Documentation : Records detailed descriptions of completed work on assigned work orders. Adheres to approved data and follows the Aviation's approved procedures for the proper removal and installation of aircraft parts and components.
Technical Support : Collaborates with bench technicians to resolve discrepancies in avionics and instrument components and systems that have been removed from aircraft.
Provides On-the-Job Training (OJT) to less experienced technicians, fostering their skill development and ensuring precision in their work.
In-Flight Assistance : Accompanies flight crews to perform in-flight troubleshooting and adjustments when necessary. Conducts preflight evaluations of avionics and instrument systems to maintain optimal performance.
Customer Interaction : Demonstrates professional communication and interaction with both internal and external customers.
