Position Description Summary :
The Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine at The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking physiatrists for our growing Division of Rehabilitation Medicine.
The Division provides a collegial environment of the highest caliber for clinical practice at the George Washington University Hospital, a Level 1 academic trauma center in Washington, DC.
Salary and rank (Instructor, Assistant and Associate Professor, and Full Professor) will be commensurate with experience.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities : Responsibilities include serving as an Inpatient Acute Hospital Consultant, Outpatient Physiatrists, and Inpatient Attending Physiatrists in our 16-bed unit.
Additional clinical opportunities are available for those with an interest in traumatic brain injury. Full-time faculty also teach medical students and engage in scholarly activity.
Minimum Qualifications : Applicants must be board certified or eligible in PM&Rand be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia and Maryland at the time of appointment.
Applicants must also have evidence of excellence in clinical care and clinical research. Clinical experience, strong communication skills, a desire for collaboration, and a commitment to quality are necessary.
