Summary

The Corporate Development Manager will have a key role in executing strategic growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and other corporate development activities.

The CD Manager will work closely with senior leadership to identify and evaluate potential opportunities, conduct due diligence, and manage the integration process.

The incumbent will need to be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities will include identifying and assessing potential acquisition targets, negotiating deal terms, and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

The role will also be responsible for developing and implementing integration plans to ensure the successful assimilation of acquired companies.

Additionally, the CD manager will be expected to stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions to inform strategic decision-making.

This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets.
  • Manage the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing pertinent information such as financial data, legal documents, and operational metrics.
  • Drive cross-functional teams to evaluate risks and opportunities in support of the decision-making process.
  • Develop and implement integration plans.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends and market conditions.
  • Prepare and present reports to executive management.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop financial models and business cases.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on project execution.
  • Manage post-merger integration activities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with transactions.
  • Support strategic planning and business development efforts.
  • Evaluate and recommend strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Distill complex diligence findings and build clear and compelling investment cases for review by senior executives and the Board of Directors

Required Experience & Skills :

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing M&A transactions.
  • Transaction experience with a background in engineering / forensic engineering or adjusting would be a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with due diligence and integration processes.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
