Alarm Specialist is hiring a Security Service Technician in our White Plains, NY branch.
Position Summary : The ideal candidate will have experience installing and inspecting fire, burglar, access control, and CCTV systems.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Install, program, maintain, and repair alarm systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for alarm system components
- System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards
- Make connections and required adjustments as directed; test operation of all components of each system to the signal-receiving center
- Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers security equipment
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
- Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools
- Perform other duties as required
Education & Required Skills :
- High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Alarm Technician or in a related field
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for installation and repair work
- Ability to install, inspect, or service security alarms
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations
- Ability to perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and low voltage wiring
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must read and speak English
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
- Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
Experience :
- Prior experience in inspections, field service, and / or installation preferred but not required
- NICET Certification is preferred but not required
