Position Summary :

This position is responsible for providing primary departmental support for a wide range of Human Resources responsibilities including Associate relations, benefits, compensation, FMLA and other leaves of absence, 401k, training, performance management, onboarding / offboarding, policy implementation, and recruiting.

Responsibilities :

  • Works closely with all Associates to answer questions and concerns regarding HR and Company. Looks for opportunities to improve current practices.
  • Works with leadership to ensure the effective use of disciplinary counseling and works to ensure consistency throughout the company.
  • Responds to Associate and Leader questions related to vacation, attendance and compensation policies.
  • Assists with human resources planning, policy formulation and organizational development.
  • Works to maintain compliance with federal, state and local governmental regulations.
  • Completes the orientation and induction process for new hires.
  • Administer benefit programs. Assists with the design, planning and implementation of benefit programs. Assist in the benefit renewal process.
  • Monitors and tracks Associate leaves (FMLA and personal) to ensure consistency and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensures all work areas meet 5S standards.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Maintains Human Resources Information System records and compiles reports from database.
  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Quality / Environmental Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Follows all procedures and work instructions and makes recommendations to improve the process. Notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances.
  • Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assist in the problem solving process.
  • Communicates and practices DMNC’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining IATF-16949 and ISO-14001.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources
  • 5-8 years of direct experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant employment laws.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills necessary for creative problem solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows software including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • PHR or SPHR Certification is a plus.

Working Conditions :

Works mainly in an office environment with frequent visits to the production floor. Must have the ability to use a computer and telephone.

Located full time in Statesville, NC. 100% of work is on-site, Monday-Friday from 7 : 00a-3 : 00p.

Annual Salary : $76,000-$95,000
