JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician II receives directives and projects from the Maintenance Supervisor. Activities include maintaining and repairing Prestera owned / leased buildings, structures, grounds, and equipment.
Ensures all facilities are in working order on a 24 / 7 basis, providing on-call services as necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exemplifies and promotes the principles of service excellence in all actions and activities.
- Stays current on all mandatory and agency required trainings.
- Completes both basic and advanced tickets and projects issued by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Properly utilize, cares for and store tools, equipment, and supplies; requests additional or replacements as needed.
- Completes preventive maintenance of Center equipment.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet schedules or deadlines.
- Evaluates working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of projects.
- Assists staff in solving maintenance and facility related problems.
- Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA, and Prestera policies and procedures.
- Participates in other functional work by participating in related projects, as applicable and directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Center leadership.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Technician II covers the supervisorial duties in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor. If more than one Technician II, the Maintenance Supervisor will designate the acting supervisor in his / her absence.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in general maintenance, multi-site maintenance, construction, or similar trade.
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Travel required to other Prestera sites.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Possess strong communication skills in conjunction with strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work with deadlines.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Certification in maintenance sector preferred.
