We are looking for a SwimRVA Programs Coordinator who wants to make a difference. Programs Coordinators are the magic to the success of a fantastic experience for each department.
The ideal candidate is upbeat and loves to connect with participants and coworkers. Coordinators are proactive support personnel to ensure every program achieves the desired outcomes.
Coordinators are direct support for Senior Coordinators who are tasked with the program operation. Coordinators are helpful, excited and team builders.
Coordinators are trainers for new staff and lead by example. SwimRVA program coordinators are the critical piece to a successful program and experience.
They are also entrepreneurial and look for new ways to improve the Richmond region through aquatics.
SwimRVA is committed to Drownproofing Richmond and needs your help to teach every child and every adult in the region to swim! Qualified candidates will have excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to cultivate strong relationships, loves to create engaging activities, while ensuring safety of our program participants.
Previous swim instruction and / or competitive swimming experience preferred. This position will require non-traditional hours to include evenings, early mornings, and weekends.

The SwimRVA Programs Coordinator job duties :
- Deliver high quality instruction and classroom readiness for a variety of programming
- Support record keeping and program assessment tools
- Serve as a trainer for new swim instructors and program operators
- Assist with business growth and attracting new customers
- Be activating advanceing aquatics career by maintaining certifications and advancing certification base
- Advance SwimRVA Safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications :
- A love for teaching, water, and aquatics programing
- A desire to grow professionally through aquatics
- High School degree required
- College degree-preferred
- Swimming experience preferred
- Ability to work in high stress conditions, using critical thinking, and customer service savvy
Salary / Benefits :
- Full-time non-exempt position.
