Brand Analyst

Black Diamond Equipment is seeking a Financial Analyst who will support senior business leaders with timely actionable financial analysis with a primary focus on product pricing and costing.

In addition to pricing and costing , the position will focus on all aspects of the business and will play a critical role in improving brand profitability.

This role will be expected drive a positive financial impact by partnering with key financial improving on existing processes and creating new processes.

Essential Functions :

• Working with Business Unit Directors and sales teams to update product pricing and costing on a bi-annual basis
• Build and maintain pricing competitive analysis and assist in the evaluation of new product introduction
• Support the global P&L and balance sheet analyses. Key areas of analysis include revenues, sales discounting, gross margins, product performance, FX and pricing
• Assist in preparing the monthly BD brand reporting package, and other internal reporting to senior management
• Partner with Business Intelligence in maintaining data integrity for the sales and margin BI cube
• Develop and improve cyclical processes by decreasing completion time and reducing duplicate and / or unneeded information
• Facilitate the organizational development of systems, processes, and policies to support the achievement of the Company’s long and short-term strategic goals in a cost-effective manner
• Create ad hoc analysis that lead to improved profitability

Requirements

Education :

Required : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Work experience :

• Required : 2+years of related experience
• Preferred : Experience in accounting or finance for a $100 million dollar or more manufacturing company. Understanding of GAAP.
• 3+ years of FP&A experience strongly preferred.

Skills and general experience :

• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Expert in Microsoft Excel as well as experience with database language such as SQL or VBA.
• Ability to produce actionable analysis to senior management from large complex data sets.
• Highly motivated with a commitment to continually driving change and improving processes.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of GAAP.

Work location :

Utah located and based position; no Relocation Assistance Provided.
