Job Title : Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) to join our PHP and IOP facility.
As an LICDC, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive addiction treatment services to individuals. Your expertise in substance abuse counseling and knowledge of Ohio Medicaid guidelines will contribute to the overall success of our program.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to determine the level of care needed for individuals seeking treatment under Ohio Medicaid.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the assessment results, ensuring alignment with Ohio Medicaid guidelines and regulations.
- Provide evidence-based counseling services, including individual and group therapy sessions, to help clients address their substance abuse issues.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care for clients.
- Monitor and document clients' progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate clients about addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with Ohio Medicaid and facility policies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance counseling skills and stay updated on the latest developments in the field of addiction treatment.
Requirements :
- Valid and active Ohio Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor licensure (LICDC).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in addiction treatment.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based counseling techniques and therapeutic approaches for substance abuse.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to assess and diagnose substance use disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Proficient in maintaining accurate and confidential client records.
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Willingness to adhere to professional ethical standards and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
