683.8559. FULL DESCRIPTION : This position is focused on the mechanical design, development, and manufacturing of stationary and mobile antenna systems and related equipment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for : -Work as part of multiple integrated product teams. In some cases, will be lead mechanical engineer on a team, while in others, will be in a support and / or advisory role-Perform hands-on design and analysis, and mentor junior engineers-Prepare and present design and analysis material during internal and customer design reviews-Prepare detailed product manufacturing documentation such as test procedures and assembly instructions-Support component and antenna system level environmental testing-Interface with company production personnel and outside suppliers during manufacturing phase of programs-Support business development activities by providing input for proposals The selected candidate will also possess : -BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
MS preferred-10+ years of experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering and product design and development-Advanced capability in the design and analysis of positioner drive systems.
Experience with precision positioners and the design or selection of bearings is preferred-Advanced capability in designing for producibility, reliability, and ease of assembly and maintenance-Knowledge in the areas of materials, structural and thermal analysis, dynamics, vibration and mechanical shock, heat transfer, finite element analysis, and composite structures-Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques such as machining, forming, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturing-Strong knowledge of fasteners, adhesives, coatings, and related industry specifications-Solid modeling, engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
