NON-EXEMPT POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose of Position
Perform various functions in the accounting department in the areas of period closing, plant budgeting, cost tracking, inventory management, purchasing and fixed assets.
Major Responsibilities
Ongoing Tasks
- Reconcile GRIR account
- Perform various period end close tasks within time limits established by corporate accounting and supervisor
- Create and input transactions into the plants general ledger and cost centers
- Balance and reconcile various general ledger accounts including but not limited to inventory, accruals, petty cash and GRIR
- Input new items into SAP, verify accuracy of product cost estimates
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and make recommendations for necessary adjustments
- Input production related information into spreadsheets, maintain master product information spreadsheet
- Develop and maintain various cost tracking spreadsheet
- Assist in maintenance of fixed asset ledger
- Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies and procedures
- Help organize and reconcile two cycle counts per year in the warehouse, storeroom, and packing material areas as directed by Internal Audit.
- Manage the employee uniform program for the Procurement Department. This includes the ordering and canceling of employee uniforms.
Establish the payroll deduction for the uniforms. Establishing and managing the corrective action process with the uniform supplier.
- Submit all Staples order requests for Charleroi Personnel as authorized by Plant and Corporate Procurement.
- Perform other tasks are required or requested
Project Tasks
- Provide support for the Plant’s budget process
- Provide cost tracking support as needed
- Provide support for the Plant Procurement Department.

- Functionality and accuracy of cost tracking and reporting spreadsheets
