Facilities Associate - HVAC

The facilities associate Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) is a part of the overall facilities team. The role of the associate is to understand how our systems operate to allow this person to respond to our customers and provide to them the service or care they need to be able to execute their day with excellence.

This role is associated primarily with the operations of the HVAC, related heating systems and refrigeration systems within our corporate buildings and lease spaces in Greensboro, NC.

Beyond the main responsibilities, the associate will work with the remainder of the Facilities team on items needed to support the business.

Responsibilities :

• Operation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of the HVAC system and all associated systems
• Execute the prioritized work assigned
• Planning and development of plans to execute work that fits the customers schedule
• Flexibility in work timing to ensure work is done that minimizes impact to the customers work environment
• Have expertise for the HVAC system and all associate systems
• Work with contractors on project and repairs
• Develop knowledge of all facilities systems
• System ownership / development of one of the facilities core competencies

Leadership :

The HVAC Associate needs to be a team oriented person with a customer service mindset. This person will need to lead projects for repairs and replacements of HVAC related systems.

This person will need to be able to troubleshoot issues and understand when to involve outside resources when the situation warrants this kind of involvement.

This person will need to be able to learn the controls technology currently employed at Kontoor and be able to drive improvements to ensure our comfort systems are providing the best environment for our Employees.

Requirements :

• Machinist certified and / or Electrician Certified and / or HVAC Technician Certification Required
• 5 plus years of professional experience in HVAC technologies
• Trade School Attendance for HVAC or Electronic Controls
• Willing to work overtime / weekends as needed
• Good Communications and Collaboration Skills
