Job Description
Student currently enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Therapy program who will obtain and maintain a state license to work within the scope of their knowledge, with opportunity of advancing skills through application of their growing knowledge.
Performs all aspects of the scope of practice of a respiratory therapist and where applicable cardiopulmonary scope of practice.
Scope of practice includes but is not limited to diagnostic and metabolic testing, patient assessment , treatment, planning and therapeutic interventions, analysis and reporting of clinical response.
Therapists work in collaboration with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to support efficient, cost effective and quality patient and family care, as well as providing patient and family education and discharge planning.
The position supports system, facility and department growth through participation in performance improvement activities, continuing education and professional growth and development activities along with other duties as assigned.
This is a paid internship.
