Summary of Job Duties :

The Licensed Practical Nurse is a specifically trained member of the clinic team. The LPN supports the on-going delivery of care as identified by the multi-disciplinary scope of practice.

The LPN works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The LPN works with the individual patient, their families, and providers to implement individual health plans.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

High School, GED PLUS Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

Arkansas LPN license

Preferred Qualifications :

One year of LPN experience, or will consider new graduate with previous CNA, MA or PCT experience.

Additional Information :

Responsibilities :

Assist physicians and registered nurses with providing basic, direct patient assessment.

Performs intake exams and heath screenings, monitors vital signs, collect various swabs and specimens, and administers diagnostic tests.

Develop, communicate, and implement patient treatment plans by evaluating patient well being, reporting any needs to medical staff and explaining treatments and procedures.

Provides high standard of care and customer service to patients and families.

Ensures comfort and well-being of patients by performing care activities, such as feeding patients, changing dressings and bandages of wounds, and transporting patients from wheelchairs, beds, and gurneys.

Maintains organized medical records and fulfills records requests.

Participate in ad hoc research projects to improve performance management and patient care.

Performs other duties as requested.
