We are looking for a dedicated Nuclear Medicine PRN like you to be a part of our team.
Job Summary and Qualifications
Performs a full range of routine and specialized Nuclear Medicine studies including MUGA functional studies, exercise stress tests, pharmacological stress tests, viability, and perfusion studies.
Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic studies. Calculates doses, and administers doses under direction of a physician.

Calibrates and performs quality control on equipment in accordance to State regulations and WFH Nuclear Cardiology policy and procedures.
Maintains adequate records of radioisotope receipts, use, storage, and disposal in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Receives verbal orders for examinations from a responsible practitioner in keeping with their state license.
Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce quality images of organs for diagnostic interpretation.
Ensures that all exams are entered appropriately, makes edits as required, moves exam to taken status and verifies for the radiologist to read with all required documents.
Arrange, attach or adjusts immobilization and supportive devices to obtain precise position, prevent motion and aid in patient comfort.
Practice sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness.
Reviews the patient history to obtain pertinent clinical information.
Adheres to radiation safety standards; participates in quality improvement and safety programs.
Ensures appropriate recording of hours worked, adheres to hospital policy.
Attends in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements on or before the due date.
Distributes documents to patients and providers as appropriate.
Properly documents all medications used in the EMAR.
Regular, punctual and dependable attendance.
Works and adjusts schedule as needed, including on call coverage to meet the needs of the department.
Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety, quality of care, or the services delivered.
Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
Uses Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety.
What qualifications you will need : Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist
Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology required
1 year of experience preferred
ARRT with Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), or NMTCB
