Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will help maintain the smooth operation of our shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment processes.
This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
Key Responsibilities :
Process daily purchase order (PO) receiving, ensuring the accuracy and timely entry of received items into the inventory system.
Prepare, pack, and ship outgoing orders with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and on-time deliveries to meet customer needs.
Pull orders for delivery or shipment, verify the accuracy of items picked, and coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to address discrepancies or special instructions.
Maintain accurate inventory levels by ensuring products are correctly stocked, labeled, and organized.
Conduct regular cycle counts, yearly and periodic physical inventory audits, and reconcile discrepancies in stock levels.
Maintain thorough and accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records. Complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading, and manage freight claims when necessary.
Work closely with internal Sales, Service, and eCommerce teams to communicate inventory levels, resolve issues, and ensure smooth workflow processes.
Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Coordinate with customers regarding order status, shipping inquiries, and delivery concerns. Ensure customer satisfaction through accurate and timely shipping.
Qualifications
High school diploma
Prior experience in Shipping, Receiving or Inventory Management
Familiarity with inventory software and shipping platforms (FedEx, UPS, DHL, Amazon).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to to multitask and meet deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
A team-oriented mindset with a commitment to efficiency and problem solving.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Associate's degree preferred.
Experience with NetSuite.
Intermediate computer knowledge.
