Our internship program focuses on creating opportunities for our student interns to hone their skills and gain valuable real-life experience.

Program Details :

  • SMRT’s Summer Internship Program runs for 12 Weeks from June to August.
  • Our internships are paid positions.
  • Interns must be able to work in-person in the office where they accept the internship.
  • Application Window Ends : January 15, 2025.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Education : You’ve completed at least two years of a Bachelor of Science or Master of electrical engineering or technology degree program.
  • Travel : Must be able to travel to the Portland, ME office for the Intern Summit, and the Andover, MA office for a mid-point check-in (travel expenses paid by SMRT).

  • Collaborate on a Cross-Disciplinary Project : Work with your fellow interns and experience the reality of working on a project team, tackle a real-world challenge based on real scenarios, and present your solution to the firm at Intern Summit.
  • Networking & Community : Build your A / E network with pros who can help you launch a successful career.

Requirements :

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science or Master of electrical engineering program.
  • Have completed the second year of the program prior to starting the internship.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
