Thermo Pac LLC anAtlanta based portion control manufacturing company is seeking aSanitation Technician. This position operates CIP (Clean in Place)systems clean and maintains audit readiness in assigned areas andother areas of the building.

Duties andresponsibilities

• Cleans byCIP system kettles tanks lines pumps pipes floors walls and otherareas and types of equipment asassigned.
• Dismantles and reassembles hosesconnections clamps pumps lines or pipes and clean per StandardOperating Procedures
• Operates foaming equipmentand high pressure washing systems.
• Visuallyinspects all parts of equipment forcleanliness.
• Cleans debris and water from floorareas and disposes of properly.
• Prepares tankshoppers kettles piping and other components necessary forProcessing or Production needs.
• Performsroutine maintenance such as gasket replacement ORing replacementfill tube straightening pump seals lubrication of parts and fittingreplacement.
• Handles cleaning chemicalsaccording to MSDS and safe handling procedures; Tests chemicalconcentrations in COP Systems and documents results in titrationrecord.
• Cross trains in other SanitationDepartment areas.
• Operates equipment in a safemanner following GMP and Plant Safety guidelines and keeps workarea auditready

Qualifications :

• HighSchool or GED preferred
• 3 months of experiencein food manufacturing sanitation environmentpreferred
• Knowledge and understanding ofchemicals cleanliness and odors
• Visual acuityneeded for color coded equipment for cleaning andchemicals.
• Associating with people in aprofessional manner

Physicalrequirements

Whileperforming the duties of this job the associate is required to liftcarry and push / pull up to 50 pounds at a given time.

There isexposure to extreme heat and temperature change noise vibrationdust and ventilation. Also the associate will be working in a wetand humid environment with exposure to vapors fumes odor and othercleaning chemicals.

The associate must be able to stand forextended periods of time as well as walk frequently. Bendingtwisting squatting kneeling and overhead reaching may are alsorequired.

All applicantsmust be 18 years or older and able to work any shift weekends &overtime as needed
