Description
The role of the Project Engineer to design and deliver complex electro-mechanical lifting equipment from inception to completion to the customer and be a subject matter expert in overhead material handling design, applicable codes, cost structure, and integration with customer facilities.
This position reports into the Engineering and Customer Service Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; mechanical engineering preferred
- Seven (7) years of experience working as a mechanical, electrical, or structural design engineer required; ten (10) preferred
- Two (2) years of experience managing projects required; five (5) preferred
- Two (2) years of experience quoting or estimating projects
- CAD drawing and modeling experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD or Solidworks; experience in both preferred
- Mechanical and structural design experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical fundamentals
- Ability to interpret and apply design codes
- Strong computer skills : proficient in MS 365 / Office Suite and Acrobat required; Epicor preferred
