Job Summary and Qualifications
Our Imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals.
You will perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next opportunity.
Your tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
- Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and record dosages for patients in accordance with physicians' orders
- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
- Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns
- Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH)
- Assist with transporting patients
Qualifications :
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program
- Clear / active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Current ARRT (N) and / or CNMT certification
- Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and / or equipment up to 50 lbs
