Harmon Scrap Metal is currently hiring a Diesel Technician - Fleet Mechanic for a full-time auto position in Cornersville, TN.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?
This is a full-time auto position with a standard work schedule. Occasional overtime may be required based on workload and operational needs.
As a Diesel Technician - Fleet Mechanic, you will start your day by performing routine and preventative maintenance on semi-trucks.
You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered vehicles, ensuring that all work is documented accurately.
Your duties will include managing and organizing tools and parts inventory, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, and collaborating with fellow technicians to share knowledge and support their development.
You will also ensure that safety protocols are followed and participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards.
Additionally, you will utilize company vehicles as required and fulfill other tasks as assigned by management.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a similar industry, with a strong mechanical background
- Commercial driver's license and a clean driving record
- Certification to conduct annual inspections and brake adjustments or ability to become certified following federal guidelines
- Completion of a vocational / technical school program or apprenticeship in diesel repair or related field, preferred
- Ability to meet physical requirements of this position
