We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences and are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to help manage our financial operations and contribute to our continued success.
Job Summary : The Bookkeeper will manage and maintain accurate financial records for the restaurant. This role involves tracking expenses, handling accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial reports.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and experience in bookkeeping within the restaurant industry.
This job has ample opportunity for growth as we continue to build out our bookkeeping and operations analysis consulting vertical.
Key Responsibilities :
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and payments.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Assist with payroll processing, including tracking employee hours and calculating wages.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding invoicing and payment issues.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
- Data analytics and / or coding experience a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
