Summary : The Day Program Employment Manager oversees the daily operation of an employment and community-based day support (CBDS) program for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities include supervision of staff (hiring, performance management, employee development, training and coaching of staff members, etc.

supervising staff activities, coordinating staff activities to meet the program objectives, overseeing member services, and ensuring all operational and compliance requirements are met.

Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM (40 hours)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Maintain appropriate certifications (i.e. MAP, First Aid, CPR, OSHA, Fire Safety, Human Rights, etc.) and ensure that all staff maintain their certifications.
  • Provide leadership to staff by creating a cohesive team and an engaging environment.
  • Conduct interviews to identify and hire talented candidates for the department / site vacancies and provide them with training, support, and coaching as part of their onboarding and development process.
  • Conduct 90-day and annual performance evaluation meetings with all staff and provide regular constructive feedback and recognition.

Conduct regular supervision meetings to enhance an environment that promotes clear communication and people growth and development opportunities.

  • Oversee and assure that all documentation is completed or obtained within timelines and meets DDS regulations.
  • Supervise the implementation of the Individual Support Plan including data collection and ensure all electronic record submissions are up to date.
  • Assist with referrals and the development of services within the employment / CBDS site.
  • Oversee and maintain the budget for the program within the allowed spending guidelines.
  • Maintain communication and collaborative relationships with other service providers and DDS and serve as liaison between day services, residential, and families.
  • Facilitate the development and training of group employment and volunteer opportunities in collaboration with the Career Specialist.
  • Provide opportunities for people in our services to develop, enhance, and maintain competency in personal, social, and community activities.
  • Submit monthly billing for individual employment, group employment, and CBDS contracts on Service Delivery Reports promptly.

Ensure site compliance according to DDS, CARF, and Agency standards.

  • Support, respect, and promote an environment that fosters Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for all employees and people in our services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education / Experience :

  • High School diploma required.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field will be preferred.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities in community settings will be strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or leadership role will be strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state of the site / program.

Knowledge / Skills :

  • Knowledge of DDS regulations and CARF standards.
  • Knowledge of Behavior Management and Human Rights.
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving, and communication skills.
