Job Summary

Grows and maintains sales within a territory by supporting automation customers. Develops and executes the strategy to accelerate growth in the Process markets.

Creates and delivers the Process business plan. Serves as the domain expert around the Process business.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Grows and maintains sales within the geographic territory.
• Leads business development and understands the technical acumen of the Process Industry.
• Supports automation customers and makes joint sales calls with Account Managers.
• Delivers accelerated sales growth in consulting business, services and associated automation hardware and software portfolio.
• Develops and executes distributor strategy to accelerate growth in Process markets specifically with PlantPAx and process safety solutions.
• Builds process offering and defining any key gaps to deliver a process solution.
• Leads the Disciplined Sales Process withing APR cluster to ensure that the right partner is deployed for the right opportunity.
• Creates and executes the Process business plan.
• Supports additional vendor DCS delivery capabilities based on observed customer business need.
• Serves as domain expert around the Process business and continuously builds competency within the team and supporting teams.
• Translates customer’s industrial business drivers into automation solutions and articulate a unique value of the solution portfolio.

Non-essential Functions

• Provides input to the pricing and purchasing departments on product evaluations and code descriptions, inventory management, pricing developments, and other related functions.
• Ensures existing demos are in functional condition.
• Performs product updates and new product launches for branches and customers as required.
• Attends and assists with sales meetings, trade shows and training programs as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a four-year technical or engineering degree or the equivalent in work experience.
• Market development, program execution experience, and ability to manage multiple partner relationships while achieving target outcomes.
• In depth knowledge & understanding of Process Industry Standards & Terminology
• Control systems and Computer Technology (Microsoft)
• PlantPAx and / or competitive offerings
• Process Application Knowledge
• Instrumentation
• Process Safety
• Exposure to all levels and connectivity of the Purdue Model (Field Devices to ERP). Platforms including but not limited to : Instrumentation, PLC, DCS Controllers, HMI / SCADA, Server Architectures, Plant Historian, APC, Motor Control, Intelligent Power, and including Analytics, IIoT, and Cloud Automation.
• Experience in Process Safety is a plus.
• Knowledge and technical competence in understanding electrical and hi-tech industrial products and applications including industrial automation software and hardware preferred.
• Minimum of four-years of prior customer service, marketing, quotation or sales experience preferred.
• Minimum of three-years of prior electrical distribution and quotations experience preferred with a comprehensive knowledge of BSE product lines and applications, alternate product substitutes, and supplier pricing policies.
• Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software preferred.
