Job Overview
The Inspector willconduct assessments following current technical guidelines providedby the manufacturer such as instructions for continuedairworthiness service bulletins and service letters.
This roleinvolves performing preliminary hidden damage inprocess and finalinspections on civil aviation components adhering to aviationairworthiness directives government and industry standard practicesand other data approved by the FAA.
Key responsibilitiesinclude :
- Mastering inspection methodstechniques tools and equipment pertinent to theirarea.
- Keeping skills sharp in using inspectiontools and aids specific to theirtasks.
- Ensuring inspection equipment isfunctioning correctly and has accurate calibrationdata.
- Understanding specifications related toinspection tolerances limitations and procedures as set by themanufacturer.
- Ensuring all inspections areperformed accurately documented properly and all records arecompleted before final approval for returning articles toservice.
- Replacing defective subassembliesparts or components to restorefunctionality.
- Following scripted repairprocedures to fix and test parts orproducts.
- Assisting Repair TechniciansEngineers and Technical Services asneeded.
- Adhering strictly to inventory controlpractices and procedures.
- Interpreting OEMmanuals and router instructions.
Qualifications
- Experiencewith CFM56 engines.
- Powerplant Licenserequired.
- Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.
- Preferred knowledge ofparts troubleshooting and repairconcepts.
- Proficiency with hand tools andpneumatic tools.
- Basic understanding oftroubleshooting concepts.
- Ability to isolatefailures and rework parts andassemblies.
- Capability to meet company qualitystandards.
- Competence in executing predefinedtesting and repair procedures.
- Willingness tolearn and perform basic repairs.
- Ability toread and comprehend routers and OEMmanuals.
- Proficiency in English for businesspurposes.
