Job Title : Staff Architect
Job Description
Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, Architects maintain project coordination with all other disciplines on an assigned project.
Provides design and CAD drafting, specification writing, and design narrative writing for design-bid-build and design-build projects of varying sizes.
Provides the Supervising Architect with the status of assignments with respect to schedules, budgets, delays, and adverse problems.
Continually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities. Assures quality, quantity, and completeness of the architectural work required.
Plans and schedules architectural efforts associated with assigned projects. Maintains timeliness and accuracy of oral and written technical reports regarding assigned activities.
Maintains proper architectural files and records. May independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets under the direction of the Supervising Architect.
May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments participating in an assigned project.
Provides construction administration as required. Performs other architectural-related work as required, including architectural surveys.

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Maryland.
Work Environment
Position will require the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance. Some onsite surveys of buildings of various ages and conditions required.
The company has Class A office space in Annapolis Junction. Main customers are agencies and military branches at Ft Meade, with additional support to the State Department for OBO work.
