Our leading Retail / eCommerce client is hiring a temporary HR Specialist to join their team for 4 ½ months. The HR Operations Specialist will focus on the day-to-day operations within the Human Resources function.
This role will be responsible for a variety of administrative functions to support and assist our team and employees in all phases of the employee experience.

Responsibilities :
- Onboarding : Manage onboarding tasks for new hires, including welcome emails, IT logistics, onboarding instructions, and I-9 processing, while coordinating with key stakeholders.
- Terminations : Coordinate employee terminations, prepare exit paperwork, and ensure smooth offboarding by collaborating with HRBPs, Payroll, and IT.
- Data Management : Enter employment changes and maintain accurate and timely data in the Workday system.
- Audit benefit open enrollment elections versus employee eligibility.
- Audit employee payroll information compared to earnings and salary entered in HR system
- Support in testing system changes and configurations
- Verifications : Complete employment verifications for current and former employees.
- Reporting : Prepare ad-hoc and monthly reports, analyze HR data sets, and create dashboards as requested.
- Employee Support : Provide frontline support for general HR inquiries.
- Administrative Support : Offer HR administrative support as needed.
- Process Improvement : Understand current HR processes, identify gaps, and develop innovative solutions to improve internal workflows.
- Collaboration : Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to deliver metrics, streamline processes, and support HR projects impacting the employee lifecycle.
Requirements :
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work autonomously, and self-motivation.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Competitive advantage if you have a BA / BS degree in a related field or aPHR / PHR certification, 1-3 years of experience as an HR Operations Specialist or similar role, and experience with Workday data entry.
