Responsibilities :
- Perform patient monitoring during cardiac surgeries, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed by the surgeon.
- Set up and operate extracorporeal circulation equipment, including heart-lung machine, IABP, and Impella to support and maintain the patient's cardiopulmonary function.
- Collect and analyze data related to the patient's condition during surgery, such as blood gas analysis and laboratory tests.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed and ensure proper documentation of patient information.
- Assist with inventory control of supplies and equipment used in the perfusion process.
- Follow aseptic technique to ensure a sterile environment during procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements :
- Graduate of an Accredited Perfusion training program.
- Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or eligible to sit for boards.
- Ability to work on call; must live within 30 minutes from the hospital.
- Columbia, MO : Relocate before starting work (Required).
