This role will offer you the following daily challenges :
You will be the Senior Subcontract Administrator supporting the Navigation Systems Mission Area, specifically the Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) program.
You will be a part of a multi-functional subcontract management team that executes the procurement of major, complex components from the development of requirements to the completion of deliveries.

Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
Desired skills
To be successful, ideally, you should also have :
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in business or Supply Chain Management (i.e Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and / or Category Management)
- Ability to interpret policies / procedures and apply concepts
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite : Word, Excel (including use of Pivots), and PowerPoint
- Excellent organization skills
- Demonstrated experience with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)
- Understanding of procurement from statement of work (SOW) through to purchase order (PO) closure and price analysis
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
- Knowledge of the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
- Ability to negotiate terms and conditions and pricing
- Multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
- Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and suppliers
- You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
- Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
