Siemens Mobility US is looking for aspiring finance / accountingprofessionals to come aboard for a 10 12-week internship journey where theywill get exposure to what happens behind the scenes to make the rail world goround.
During your summer journey with us, you will have theopportunity to immerse yourself in the Siemens Commercial Project ManagementDepartment where you will learn about key commercial tasks to support the successfulexecution of Train projects.
The candidate will have theopportunity to work with experienced Siemens Commercial Project Managers onRolling Stock projects across several US states.
This includes autonomouslyworking on dedicated work packages in close interaction with the project teamand finance teams.
The candidate will attend internal project meetings, workwith Commercial Project Managers and Project Managers in the US and abroad andsupport commercial execution of existing projects in the Rolling StockPassenger Coach business.
Specifically, the candidate will support the areas ofproject cost controlling, forecasting, reporting, and risk management.

The Commercial Project Team has a key role in a projects’success by driving project results to support Siemens Mobility, Inc.
businesstargets, managing customer requirements and develop strategies for the projectand beyond.
What you will do
- Learn about our standard processes
- Work with project managers, engineers and manufacturing experts to learn about end-to-end project execution phase through shadowing and the assignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge.
- Interface with different areas of the key departments for Rolling Stock project execution and learn about how collaboration drives success
- Gain insight into cost controlling essentials related to activities such as : project management essentials related to financial, scope, schedule, risk, and resource management activities

Basic Qualifications :
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance / Accounting or similar from an accredited college or university
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required
- Must reside or go to school near internship location Sacramento, CA
Preferred Qualifications :
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Previous internship experience or relevant school projects
- Strong communication skills verbal and written
- Ability to work on a team
- Interest in learning about the rail industry project management, customer service operations, manufacturing, etc.
