Position Overview :

Morgan's Early Care Connection is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and a deep passion for early childhood education, especially with 2-year-olds.

This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment, developing engaging and age-appropriate lessons, and supporting the developmental milestones of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities :

Curriculum Development : Design and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans for 2-year-olds that support early literacy, language development, and foundational math skills.

Adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children in the classroom.

  • Classroom Management : Lead a classroom of 2-year-olds, maintaining a positive, safe, and structured environment. Ensure that daily routines are followed and that children are supervised at all times.
  • Outdoor Play : Facilitate 2 hours of outdoor play daily, encouraging physical activity, social interaction, and exploration in a safe and engaging manner.
  • Professional Development : Participate in ongoing professional development focusing on early childhood education best practices, the science of early literacy and math, and compliance with Bright From the Start regulations.
  • Compliance and Documentation : Adhere to Bright From the Start regulations and maintain necessary documentation for compliance.

Stay informed about best practices and regulatory changes relevant to early childhood education.

Parent Communication : Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, classroom updates, and any concerns.

Build strong relationships with families to support each child’s development and well-being.

Collaboration : Work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience. Attend faculty meetings and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications :

  • 10+ Years experience working with children
  • Proven experience in early childhood education, particularly with 2-year-olds.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to create and implement engaging lesson plans.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance with Bright From the Start regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both children and adults.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to the needs of the classroom.

Where We Work : Morgan's Early Care Connection is located in a bungalow in Kirkwood, across from Pullman Pratt yard, and walking distance from Marta on Dekalb Avenue.
