MEDIA ASSET COORDINATOR
Full-time, onsite in Irondale (Birmingham), AL. Not remote-eligible.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE :
As the Media Asset Coordinator, you'll be responsible for maintaining the Network's programming library; including classifying, logging, and tracking all network program videos and media assets, as well as maintaining the inventory database.
You will be the point of contact for other internal departments requesting media assets.
WHAT YOU WILL DO :
- Ensure program inventory database is maintained daily with entries and metadata about video programs.
- Pull, check out, and re-shelve video programs for Network personnel including Producers, Editors, and Promotion.
- Prepare programs for offsite storage.
Ensure program videos get to dub station to be pushed for Home Video.
- Make sure program videos get to TOC and then to dub station for transcription.
- Catalog IP tapes to be stored offsite.
- Keep daily Mass schedule.
- Input shows into inventory database on a weekly basis.
ABOUT YOU :
- You have 1-2 years' experience organizing, cataloguing, tracking, and maintaining media assets.
- You are detail-oriented and organized with sharp communication and critical thinking skills.
- You are a self-starter with the ability to work independently while interfacing with many different departments.
- You possess strong computer skills in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Other database experience helpful.
- You have a strong familiarity with EWTN programming, or willingness to learn.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
You have experience working in broadcast / cable TV environments.
You are a practicing Catholic, with demonstrated knowledgeable of the Catholic faith and EWTN mission.
You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Broadcasting, or related field of study, or an Associate's Degree and equivalent training and experience.
