Human Resources Business Partner
Marcus Theaters is on the lookout for a proactive and dynamic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to champion a positive workplace culture and advance our key HR initiatives.
In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor, collaborating with HR Directors and leadership to drive employee engagement, resolve concerns with care and precision, and celebrate our teams through innovative recognition programs.
You’ll shape and implement impactful HR policies, manage employee relations, and support claims processes while staying flexible to jump into Generalist responsibilities when business needs arise.

What you will be doing :
- Coach and mentor management-level employees to enhance leadership skills.
- Address employee and management questions about HR programs, policies, and guidelines.
- Support management in resolving HR issues effectively.
- Investigate employee concerns and provide appropriate resolutions.
- Report employee relations matters to HR management for awareness and action.
- Track and follow up on employee relations issues to ensure resolution.
- Engage closely with associates to promote high employee engagement.
- Share information on employee relations, activities, and personnel policies.
- Assist HR Directors in developing and refining policies for compliance and effectiveness.
- Ensure job descriptions are current, compliant, and reflect accurate responsibilities.
- Manage leave requests under FMLA, ADA, and state laws, facilitating smooth returns.
- Foster respectful, productive relationships and uphold company and associate privacy as well as quality standards.
What we are looking for :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in dynamic, fast-paced work environments with HR and employee relations expertise required.
- Strong ability to recommend innovative policies and procedures for business improvements.
- Demonstrated success in driving employee development, relations, and retention initiatives.
- Skilled in managing projects from concept to implementation.
- Effective communicator with all organizational levels, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service focus with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable managing high workloads and hands-on tasks.
- High drive, strong work ethic, desire to learn new skills and systems, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to travel to theater locations as business needs dictate.
