The School of Nursing at UT Health San Antonio invites scholars to apply for a full-time tenured / tenure-track at Assistant / Associate / Full Professor rank.

Required applicants must have completed a doctoral degree in nursing, public health, social work, and related areas. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to :

• Support the research and teaching mission of the School of Nursing
• Teaching clinical and didactic courses in undergraduate and / or graduate programs
• Participation in academic research and scholarship
• Participation in shared faculty governance
• Submitting applications for intramural and extramural funding of research
• Some evenings and weekends may be required

Qualifications The successful candidate will have :

• A doctoral degree is required.
• Current Texas RN Licensure is preferred; national APRN certification is preferred for undergraduate teaching and required for graduate teaching.

Must show proof of above prior to official appointment date.

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience
• Demonstrated success in securing research funding, preferably from reputable federal agencies like the NIH

PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.

Extended Illness Bank : hours ( day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken.

Paid Family Leave : Up to hours ( weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after months of consecutive employment.
