We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to join our growing client’s team as an HR Manager, specializing in Benefits, Retirement, and Leaves of Absence (LOA) Management.
This role is pivotal in supporting the Head of HR and ensuring the effective management of employee benefits, retirement plans, and leave programs.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of HR in developing, implementing, and administering HR policies and programs while also providing comprehensive support across various HR functions.

Responsibilities
- Benefits Administration :
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs for 750+ employees, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and wellness initiatives.
- Manage relationships with benefit providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the competitiveness of the benefits package.
- Conduct regular benefits audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Retirement Plans :
- Lead the complex administration and communication of retirement plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with finance and external partners to manage retirement plan investments and performance.
- Educate employees on retirement planning options and assist with inquiries.
- Leaves of Absence (LOA) Management :
- Develop and maintain comprehensive leave policies and procedures.
- Manage the LOA process, including FMLA, disability, and other applicable leaves.
- Work closely with employees, managers, and HR team to facilitate smooth transitions during leave periods.
- HR Generalist Support :
- Act as a right-hand person to the Head of HR, providing support in various HR functions.
- Collaborate with HR team members to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Leadership and Collaboration :
- Act as a leader and collaborator within the HR team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to HR staff and other team members.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Serve as an esteemed colleague and advisor to employees across the organization at all levels (staff up to C-suite).
- Compliance and Reporting :
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
- 10+ years of proven experience in Human Resources, including subject matter expertise in administering Benefits, Retirement, and LOA Management within an HR capacity.
- Experience working in a law firm or legal services industry is required.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional executive presence, business acumen, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Must exhibit a strong hunger for professional / personal growth and willingness to continuously learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on, detail-oriented execution.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems is required. Experience in Kronos, UKG is a plus.
- Merger & Acquisition (M&A) Integration experience is a plus!
