LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounting Specialist for an opening in St. Louis, MO.
Title : Accounting Specialist
Location : St. Louis, MO
Schedule : Monday-Friday; Standard hours of operation
Compensation : $57,000 to $65,000 annual (flexible upon experience)

Job Description :
- Prepare, review, and process client invoices in accordance with client billing guidelines.
- Monitor and track billable hours, expenses, and disbursements to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Resolve billing discrepancies; generate and distribute pre-billings
- Maintain and update billing rates, client information, and billing instructions in the billing system
- Ensure timely submission of invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Assist with general accounting tasks such as accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and post journal entries as needed
- Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Qualifications :
- 1+ year(s) experience in legal industry is preferred
- Associated degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve billing issues
- Ability to work on a team and / or independently to organize and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel
