The Role
As the Global Data Systems Specialist you will develop and execute business processes and supporting technology that enable the company to maintain a high level of data integrity in our product-related data.
A key responsibility is to analyze major organizational activities and complex business problems as they relate to the management of product data, providing recommendations and guidance for adherence to corporate and industry standards.
Lastly, you will serve as the company expert for product related data standards and systems, including barcoding standards, customer data synchronization initiatives, and the item master within Oracle.
We operate in a hybrid work environment that offers two remote days per week.
In This Role, You will
Develop and manage global systems and processes to ensure accurate item information is reflected in the Oracle System.
Determine the best approach to incorporate data from acquisitions into our existing systems. Audit data in the Oracle system to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Serve as the subject matter expert, providing direction and guidance for pojects / initiatives involving global master data
- Develop, document, and enforce corporate standards for global product information that complies with and supports industry standards and initiatives, including customer compliance demands (mandates).
- Working with global business teams, maintain selected non-item master data within Oracle such as sourcing and bills of materials.
- Audit product data within our global data warehouse to ensure compliance with standards and consistency of data across the globe for same or similar items.
- Manage the Data Synchronization process with customers.
- Must stay on top of industry trends within the supply chain in order to be effective. Must be detail oriented, but also have the ability to see the bigger picture.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system is a must. Beneficial to have a working knowledge of office supply products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or technical training / job experience equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in operations or a similar function as well as experience working with ERP systems and applications.
