Physical Therapy Technician

Starting Hourly : $16.28 $17 per hourdepending on Physical Therapy Technician / Aide experience

Currently we are looking for a part timePhysical Therapy Technician for our Mayfair St location.

Schedule needed : 3540 hours Monday Friday

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES

• Prepares treatment room for patient byfollowing prescribed procedures and protocols.
• Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment bywelcoming comforting providing and / or assisting patient intophysical therapy apparel (shorts gowns etc.)
• Does laundry maintaining an ample supply of cleanlinens.
• Under direct supervision of and withcosignature by records daily notes.
• Providesinformation to patients by answering questions andrequests.
• Helps treat patients by applying iceor heat packs helping patients onto exercise equipment monitoringmotion; tracking walking time and distance;

performing prescribedexercises and strengthening techniques as requested byPT.

• Educates patients by demonstrating properuse of equipment and exercise routines.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations bykeeping information confidential.
• Maintainssafe and clean working environment by complying with proceduresrules and regulations.
• Provides equipment andsupplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies totreatment area; positioning equipment for therapist access;

positioning patient on equipment.

• Ensuresoperation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventivemaintenance requirements.
• Maintains physicaltherapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventorylevel; anticipating needed supplies and communicating to person incharge or ordering
• Enhances physical therapydepartment and organization reputation by accepting ownership foraccomplishing new and different requests;

exploring opportunitiesto add value to job accomplishments is a team player.

• Collects garbage at the end of each workingday.
• Reports any issues needing resolution toPhysical Therapists.

MINIMUMPOSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education andExperience

Education :

Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology or relatedfield.

Experience :

Prior experience in customer service

Physical Requirements and WorkingConditions

Requires prolongedstanding bending stooping and stretching. Requires eyehandcoordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboardmouse photocopier telephone calculator and other office equipment.

Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record prepare andpresent reports.
