Medtronic’s Nathan Lane Operations has an exciting opportunity for anEngineering Supervisor, providing leadership to our stent delivery systems engineering team.
In this role, you will lead a team of Engineerssupporting our stent delivery systems for our nitinol stents. You will focus on both short term and long-term strategies to meet the needs of our patients.

This position is at our Plymouth MN manufacturing site and requires on-site presence 5 days a week.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilitiesinclude the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Provides leadership to a sustaining engineering team support our stent delivery systems production area.
- Collaborates with Operations to define strategy.
- Collaborates with our Equipment and Automation leadership to develop business cases for equipment and automation supporting the strategic direction.
- Partners with AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) team defining new technologies, processes, and product opportunities / initiatives.
- Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies, processes and equipment utilized in production.
- Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes, or products.
- Defines and drives standard work within functional area of responsibility.
- Leadership of direct reports through coaching, developing, and mentoring technical employees.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Must Have : Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Nice to Have
- Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution. Requires broad job knowledge of technical or operational practices within assigned discipline.
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills with demonstratedstakeholder management.
- Ability to work, influence and lead in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrated strong planning and organizational skills.
- Strong project management with demonstrated leadership of technical teams.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, meeting business expectations.
- Experienced with Microsoft project and office.
- Experience with DMAIC problem solving.
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Medical device manufacturing or equivalent regulated industry experience.
- Practical knowledge of statistical techniques and software (eg Minitab)
