The Product Development and Sourcing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the product development, sourcing, and supplier management activities.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in these areas and be proficient in speaking and writing in Chinese languages to effectively communicate with local suppliers and manufacturers.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for global sourcing operations, collaborating with cross-functional partners at overseas offices and vendors.
- Utilize negotiation and costing skills to achieve financial targets for the designated product category.
- Maintain and update product costs, while effectively communicating with overseas offices regarding costing options.
- Coordinate tasks to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality products.
- Monitor and expedite sample development progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, merchandisers, and engineers, to develop innovative and high-quality home textile products.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and capacity to meet production requirements.
- Work closely with suppliers to achieve optimal cost and quality outcomes.
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a Product Development and Sourcing Manager in the home textile category.
- Proficiency in speaking and writing in Chinese languages to effectively communicate with local suppliers.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with content, product, and inventory management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Exceptional organizational skills, including planning, prioritizing, managing multiple tasks, and meeting corporate deadlines.
- Experience working with mass retailers such as Target, TJ Maxx, Costco, Walmart.
