Position Overview :

As a Superintendent, you will lead the on-site management of commercial construction projects in San Antonio, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Supervision : Oversee all on-site activities for commercial construction projects, from ground-breaking through project completion.

Manage subcontractors, coordinate schedules, and ensure efficient resource allocation.

• Safety Management : Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols to create a secure work environment. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and compliance checks.
• Quality Control : Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality throughout each phase of construction. Conduct inspections and address any quality issues immediately.
• Scheduling & Coordination : Develop and manage construction schedules, coordinating with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.

Identify and resolve any scheduling conflicts or delays.

• Budget Monitoring : Collaborate with project managers to monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards.
• Client Communication : Serve as a main point of contact on-site, providing clients with regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Documentation : Maintain comprehensive records, including daily logs, safety reports, progress updates, and change orders.

Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project.

Leadership & Team Management : Foster a productive and positive work environment. Mentor junior team members and promote a collaborative team dynamic.

Qualifications :

• Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial ground-up construction projects. Experience with high-rise, healthcare, retail, or institutional projects is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge : Deep understanding of construction processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with scheduling software and project management tools.
• Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and motivate on-site teams.
• Problem-Solving : Ability to identify potential issues early and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications (e.g.

OSHA, CHST) are a plus.

Licenses : Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
