RoleOverview :

As a ManagingDirector for Business Development at Synergy Management Group youwill play a critical role in driving our growth within the privateequity and venture capital industry.

Leveraging your extensivenetwork and relationships within the industry you will identify andclose highvalue consulting engagements with institutional investorsspecifically in the private equity and venture capitaldomains.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Develop and execute targeted business developmentstrategies to secure consulting engagements ranging from $50K to$1M with institutional investors (private equity & venturecapital) within our four main service areas (refer to : ).
  • Leverage your existing networkand relationships within the private equity industry to identifyand pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our executive team to create andimplement strategic plans for client engagement and revenuegeneration.
  • Successfully close newclient engagements through effective lead generation proposaldevelopment negotiation support and client relationshipmanagement.
  • Client relationshipmanagement and seniorlevel client engagementsupervision.
  • Utilize your deepunderstanding of the private equity landscape to provide valuablesolutions and insights to clients.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 20 years of seniorlevel experiencewithin the management consulting and private equity industry attoptier or boutique firms (e.

g. McKinsey Boston Consulting GroupBain & Company KPMG PwC Deloitte Blackstone KKR CarlyleSequoia Kleiner Perkins Accel Goldman Sachs J.P. Morgan MorganStanley).

  • Extensive network andrelationships within the institutional investor ecosystemparticularly in the private equity and venture capitalsectors.
  • Proven track record ofidentifying and closing $50K$1M consulting engagements withinstitutional investors.
  • Strongbusiness development skills with the ability to convert leads intosuccessful client engagements.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonalskills.

AdditionalRequirements :

  • This is a remote commissiononly contract position.Compensation is based solely on successfully closing new clientengagements for SMG as a percentage of new client retainers whichrange from $50K to $1M per engagement.
  • For engagement supervision of new client engagements thatyou generate compensation will be $125$500 perhour.
  • Upon successfully closingseveral new client engagements compensation can transition to amore traditional model (e.g. base salary / monthly retainercommission).
  • You will be expectedto successfully close a $50K consulting engagement with a newclient within the first 30 days of joining Synergy Management Groupleveraging your existing network and relationships within theinstitutional investor (private equity & venture capital)industry.
