We are currently seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Technician.

Cal-Tek Company, Inc. is an ISO / IEC 17025 Accredited calibration company offering in-lab or on-site calibration service for a wide variety of electrical, electronic, mechanical and laboratory equipment.

We are currently looking for a Shipper / Receiver to join our team and assist us with receiving packages and shipping equipment back to our customers.

The responsibilities include :

• Initial receipt inspection on purchased items and customer product
• Identification of materials and jobs at time of receipt
• Review and process documentation in preparation for shipment of equipment
• Packaging and shipping items according to specified requirements or appropriate to part
• Housekeeping of Shipping / Receiving Area
• A strong work-ethic
• Someone who can embrace a varied work environment
• The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• The ability to work independently
• Articulate themselves well on paper (and digitally)
• Computer skills are a plus

Job Type : Full-time

Schedule : 8 hour shift

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Qualifications

Education :

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills, Abilities and Experience :

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook
• High level of attention to detail on paperwork and equipment
• Ability to continually self-evaluate the accuracy of your work
• Ability to focus on routine tasks in a busy environment
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to recognize different types of equipment
• Demonstrated ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. as often as 60 times per day
• Demonstrated ability to work in a warehouse environment without heat or air conditioning
• Demonstrated sense of urgency
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to realize the importance of the accuracy of seemingly routine tasks and how the successful completion of these tasks is vital to customer satisfaction
• Willingness to work occasional overtime is required

Experience using UPS and FedEx shipping software programs is desirable
