Job Description
The Workforce Planning Manager is responsible for optimizing labor costs by monitoring planned hours, scheduled hours, and actual hours to meet defined targets within Rally House store operations.
This position ensures that the leaders have the information needed to appropriately analyze, forecast and schedule team members within their stores.
They partner with and provide coaching to multi-unit leaders to support Store Managers in creating effective staff schedules.
Responsibilities
Scheduling Software Expertise : Utilize schedule system software to forecast staffing needs, create optimized schedules, and analyze workforce data to improve operational efficiency.
Workforce Planning : Develop and implement workforce management strategies to ensure optimal staffing levels based on sales forecasts, customer traffic, and seasonal trends.
Scheduling & Compliance : Oversee the creation and management of retail staff schedules, ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and budget constraints.
Performance Analytics : Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to workforce productivity, attendance, turnover, and customer service metrics.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
Training & Development : Collaborate with HR and Training departments to develop training programs focused on workforce management best practices, Legion software utilization, and operational excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with store managers, regional managers, and other stakeholders to align workforce management strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
Budget Management : Assist in the development and monitoring of labor budgets, ensuring cost-effective staffing solutions without compromising service quality.
Technology Integration : Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in retail workforce management.
Recommend and implement technological solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting key workforce metrics, trends, and performance insights.
Mitigate scheduling hurdles and develop action plans as needed by partnering with the department and / or leaders
Identifies patterns, including volumes, trends, attrition rates and productivity, to effectively support operations needs

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience; 3 years of experience managing people; 5 years of Workforce Management experience in a large multi-site retail environment.
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Required to stand and walk;
- talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms;
differentiate colors. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items up to 25lbs, and to walk short distances.
