Sr. Tax Manager

MPS is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to work with the Head of Tax directly. The Senior Tax Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing tax accounting, compliance and planning including :
- Working with third-party providers to prepare and review MPS’s quarterly and annual tax provision and tax return
- Working with third-party service providers supporting our domestic and international operations
- State and local tax matters including both direct and indirect taxes
- Will also assist the broader Finance organization
Essential Functions :
Tax Filings
- Federal, international and state income tax returns including all related support
- Reviewing the tax returns for the Company’s international subsidiaries and provision to return true-ups
- Analyzing sales, use, and property tax requirements
Tax Accounting
- Will be leading the tax provision process
- Working with a third party on preparation and review of quarterly tax provision and tax accounting for stock based compensation
- Primary point of contact for coordinating with external auditors for timely review of tax provision
- Managing supporting documents and memos
Other Tax Items
- Assist in projects relating to VAT, Sales Tax, international audits, and research and development credit studies
- Assist in US and foreign Transfer Pricing projects including Country-by-Country reporting
- Optimization of the tax function as the company continues to grow and expand its footprint
Qualifications :
- BS / BA degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred
- US GAAP accounting knowledge with 7+ years’ experience, preferably including Big 4 tax
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- Proficient in MS Office and general systems applications
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
- Can effectively apply accounting knowledge to understand tax impact of business decisions
Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons.
The base salary range for this position in Washington is $85,000.00 - $120,000.00.
