Compliance Manager
Our client, a biotechnology research company, is looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team.
LOCATION :
Santa Clara, CA. Hybrid capacity, 3 days / week. (Monday 2 other days).
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Reporting to the Director of Compliance, this position will be responsible for working directly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure audits are properly executed with satisfactory results.
This role provides opportunities to develop in-depth knowledge in all end-to-end business processes and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage annual SOX compliance effort, including (1) developing and delivering annual SOX training; (2) updating process narratives;
3) providing controls testing support; (4) reviewing testing work papers; and (5) developing and implementing remediation plans
- Support external audits, including, but not limited to, documentation management, status reporting, and issue remediation
- Support operational audits, including, but not limited to, risk assessment, audit work program development, fieldwork, reporting, and remediation
- Guide the business to ensure proper controls are considered and incorporated
- Identify and communicate potential risks and improvement opportunities to leadership
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting and Finance with 5 years of experience in public accounting and / or internal audit
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity to adhere to regulations
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Specific hands-on experience with SOX and audit responsibilities described above
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in : Financial system implementation, such as SAP and OneStream
COMPENSATION :
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure : $120K - $160K bonus.
The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
