Position Summary
The Field Service Specialist is a remote-based position requiring overnight travel up to 80% of the week. This position is key to the success of the organization.
Trained on various diagnostic instrument platforms; adapting quickly to changing conditions, troubleshooting problems thoroughly, using discrete pieces of information to form a complete picture, and ensuring the customer is delighted with the service provided;
are the pillars of success in this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, repair and support instruments on all levels HW, SW and applications
- Maintain and develop positive relationships with customers
- Assist in the development and maintenance of reference customers
- Assist in meeting / exceeding sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction
- Actively promote and sell Field Service products
- Utilize the oneservice Mobile Solution to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness
- Utilize all available tools such as Service Reports, Spare Part & Service Manuals, Partner Service Information, internal service information etc.
- Give active feedback to Sales, Global Product Support and your team / management
- Manage effective available time and resources
- Provide cross-border / district / region support when required
- Positively represent oneservice in front of the customer, be a good example!
- Frequent periods of walking, standing, kneeling, working in various climates, travel via plane / train / car, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required
Primary Position Requirements
Education :
- Technical and / or Scientific degree / education in Electronics, Engineering or Life Sciences and reasonable product knowledge within the Life Science, Diagnostics or Medical Equipment industry / markets preferable
- High school diploma or GED and technical certificate (e.g. electrician, biomedical engineering, computer science, avionics, fluidics, automation, robotics) minimally required.
- Demonstrated work-based experience in technical areas, miliary background, or similar equivalent preferred.
Experience :
- Min of 3 years’ service and support experience in a comparable position within the after-sales service business in the Life Science, Diagnostics or Medical Equipment industry / markets, or equivalent experience maintaining instrumentation in the above fields
- Proven work experience in developing customer relationships
- Minimum commercial skills
- Valid driver’s license and Passport and willingness to travel, national and internationally
Interpersonal skills :
- Good written and verbal English language communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a structured working environment
