Paradigm at the Oak is a Skilled Nursing Facility seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Maintenance to join our team!
Job Duties
- Evaluate, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems
- Provide oversight of all Maintenance, Laundry and Housekeeping employees
- Perform maintenance and repairs on all aspects of the facility building as directed
- Receive and respond to resident and family reports of mechanical or maintenance issues
- Communicate with supervisor about any work that requires outside expert assistance
- Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems pursuant to applicable
- federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations as well as the facility’s policies and procedures
- Fix potential safety hazards in a timely manner
- Provide support to Housekeeping and Laundry Departments as directed
- Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed
- Report all resident, staff, or other concerns to the appropriate department head
- Report all incidents, accidents, unsafe situations, and concerns immediately
- Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations relating to responsibilities
- Ensure that responsibilities are performed consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations as well as facility policies and procedures

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, Internet)
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar position in a medical setting
- Experience survey requirements for maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping departments
- Experience with minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC servicing needs and repairs
- Familiar with such equipment as PTAC units, fire alarms, nurse call lights, internet / network setup, and phone systems
