Primary Position Objectives
Support business objectives by maintaining timely accounting records including transactional entries and financial reporting.
Position Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains the company’s general ledger accounts and keeps records on company transactions and assets.
- Enters standard and non-standard journal entries
- Ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts via monthly reconciliations to supporting details.
- Maintain the integrity of the inventory value through analysis and monitoring of inventory transactions and balancing details to the G / L on a daily / monthly basis.
Investigates all situations as needed.
- Ensures accurate and timely financial reporting of the business (within five business days of month-end).
- Processes supplier invoices following a three-way and two way match within our ERP system.
- Reviews and distributes mail within the department.
- Applies customer cash receipts against open invoices within our ERP system investigating variances that occur.
- Maintaining the cash receipts log, customer billing, etc.
- Recommends and implements techniques to improve productivity and increase efficiencies.
Other
- Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
- Interface with external auditors, financial, insurance, tax, etc..
- May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
- Performs other duties as may be required.
- Attendance is an essential function of the job.
Qualifications
Education
Experience
- BS Degree in Accounting or Finance or demonstration of equivalent skills.
- Team player that can work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organization.
- Working knowledge of accounting and computer systems.
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Well-organized.
- Desires learning new skills and expanding capabilities.
